Bob the cat Bevan

Bob 'the cat' Bevan is an accomplished speaker, MC, comic, awards host, author, script and speech writer and TV and radio personality. The first after-dinner speech Bob held was a small scale private speech in 1967. By 1980, his career took off and he became a sought after professional within the field after he made brought the house down at the Footballer of the Year Dinner.

His comic talent as a speaker has made The Stage refer to him as Britains leading after-dinner speaker. Bob is the first after-dinner speaker to be selected for Whos Who and is probably also the first person ever to be honoured by HM the Queen for after-dinner speaking.

Being a great football fan, Bob started as a sporting speaker. He has actually spoken at 77 out of 92 Premier and Football League clubs as well as countless other sports clubs and functions. Now he has become recognised as a top comic for all sorts of audiences including mixed. He has frequently toured Australia, he is back there again this year and has also appeared in the United States as well as Bahrain, Hong Kong, Kenya, Singapore, Thailand and the West Indies.

He is a Past President of Kent County Cricket Club, the National Sporting Club, is a Celebrity Ambassador of Variety nd a Trustee of the famous cricket charity the Lords Taverners.

Bob had a highly successful business career in journalism and public relations before becoming an entertainer and after-dinner speaker. He still is a Member of the Institute of Public Relations and the National Union of Journalists. His views and expertise remain highly regarded and he was recently appointed an Ambassador for the County of Kent.
