Happy As Larry Group

Known as 'Happy as Larry Group', Lucy and Alex deliver inspirational talks that can involve the audience leaving them with dreams to heal from past pains and move on or in awe and motivated to go on to change their lives forever. Through their own battles with substance abuse, behavioural addictions and severe trauma their talks are hard hitting, evidencing that anyone, at any point in their life, can start a new chapter.

The duo is also dedicated to providing the audiences or delegates with tools of how to take these newly learnt lessons forward in their lives and this is delivered through a number of engaging and fascinating workshops. These range from growing self-esteem, learning about boundaries, healing from past pains, maintaining a healthy and fun relationship with your partner and many more (information available upon request.)


Lucy Kuy:

Lucy grew up in East London to very humble beginnings, as a gifted child who's life sadly altered immensely into darkness and despair at a very young age. She suffered years of sexual abuse and violence from the age of around 8 to her teens. Falling the victim of alcoholism and bulimia she found a way of coping which resulted in a number of suicide attempts. She found help and entered rehab in June 2014 where a phenomenal journey of self-discovery was to begin.

Lucy's talks discuss how being talented has been both a gift and a curse. From being homeless at 16 to chasing her dreams as a singer and performing all around the world, to her experience being on ITV's Take Me Out to the depths of alcoholic and bulimic despair.

Lucy has experienced deep depression and addiction, being totally broke, not having a penny to eat and just scraping a couple of passes on her GCSE's due to the abuse she was suffering at home. She has now written her own book, is studying a masters degree in Addiction Psychology & Counseling and is an ambassador for the Amy Winehouse Foundation. She is also regular columnist for an Addiction Recovery Magazine, is a campaigner against childhood sexual abuse for the charity One in Four and appeared in a DVD documentary as well having had her story published in a book in relation to CSA which has been taken to parliament and influences the Police and NHS for better policies.

She is a peer mentor & speaker at Priory Hospital addiction rehab center, front singer in a rock band and owns her own company (Happy as Larry Group) with her partner which aims to help others suffering. Lucy's talks touches and inspires women to be strong, resilient and inspires them to follow their dreams through the success of Happy as Larry group so far. Her talks are honest, frank, engaging and entertainingly interactive as well. She is proof that anyone, anywhere can achieve absolutely anything they want to in life.


Alex da Silva

Alex da Silva was born in Brazil in a poor family and was fortunate to come to the UK at the age of 11 without speaking the language. He survived abuse, bullying, anxiety and fears throughout childhood always feeling like he was not good enough. Alex had suffered from years of mental health and addiction problems (drugs, alcohol, food and sex), found recovery and today he helps others to change their lives with his and his partner's company Happy As Larry Group.

Happy As Larry Group uses a unique combination of coaching, therapeutic and mindfulness techniques to help people around the world achieve their goals and live incredible lives. Alex specializes in coaching and mindfulness, has led successful workshops, group sessions and 1-2-1s. He is extremely passionate about his work and helping others. Alex and his company's mission statement is; helping to change the world, one person at a time. He wants to ensure every person he reaches finds the happiness and love he has today.

Alex's talks, seminars and workshops have one purpose; to motivate you, inspire you and change your life. Alex has learned that through every experience, every failure, every pain suffered, he grew stronger and he learned more. His passion for learning, personal growth and spiritual development has given him incredible tools which he now utilizes in his practices. Alex is going to give his audience honesty, truth, realness and authenticity. His delivery is genuine, humbling and will leave you motivated and inspired to make a change.
